3. Noah’s Ark Pumpkinfest 2024

2024 dates: 1 October-3 November

Head to Noah’s Ark Zoo where pumpkins are grown with natural fertiliser (thanks to a little help from their elephants and rhinos!). 4. PYO Pumpkins, Bath

2024 dates: Weekends from 28 September-27 October

Just round the corner from Avon Valley Adventure Park, Bath Pumpkin Patch offers eight acres to scour for the pumpkin of your dreams on this family-run farm.

Kids can explore a whimsical pumpkin house, pose in a giant photo frame, and cross a brand-new bridge. Spooky decorations, including spiders and bats, add to the Halloween magic.

After selecting your pumpkin, warm up with a coffee, hot chocolate, or spiced apple cider.

5. Halloween at Puxton Park

2024 dates: 10am-4pm; 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 October – 3 November

Pick the plumpest of pumpkins from the Puxton Park pumpkin patch, then zhuzh it up with a splash of paint! Puxton pumpkin patch is FREE to enter but if you’d like to take one home, Puxton Park prices vary between £2-£12 depending on size. No need to pre-book, just arrive on the day.

Puxton will also be hosting a fang-tastic Spooktacular Supper on 30 October from 6-8 pm! For £15 per person, guests will get a buffet, children’s entertainment, Halloween disco, games and access to the soft play area.

6. Pumpkin festival at Farrington‘s, Farrington Gurney

2024 dates: 1-2, 8-9, 14-16, 20-30 October

Explore Farrington’s 17-acre pumpkin patch – one of the biggest patches in the region. Thousands of seeds have grown into a variety of pumpkins, including white ghost pumpkins, ‘Cinderella’ pumpkins, and knobbly ‘knucklehead’ pumpkins.

For extra Halloween frivolity, there’s also marshmallow toasting with Whinny the Witch, a pop-up funfair, tractor and trailer rides, play barn soft play for kids, straw pool, outdoor farm park, and a delightful farm shop and cafe for a cosy treat after your pumpkin adventure.

7. Palette and Pasture, Frome

Pumpkin picking at Palette and Pasture, takes place on rural Pyle Farm near Frome. Choose a 2-hour slot to pick from a variety of pumpkins, ranging from £2.50 to £12.50 (and don’t forget cash, as card machines may not work!)
